The Opportunity
We are working with a leading, multi-award-winning global management consultancy seeking experienced ETRM professionals to support a range of major transformation and technology delivery projects across the energy and commodities sector.
These opportunities are primarily contract-based, with permanent positions also available for exceptional candidates.
The consultancy is looking for commercially minded professionals who combine strong ETRM systems knowledge with business analysis, functional consulting, project management or business transformation experience.
The focus is on business-facing and functional expertise rather than purely technical development, with a particular interest in candidates who have supported oil, refined products and petrochemicals trading environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Support ETRM implementation, enhancement and transformation projects across major commodity trading organisations.
- Lead or contribute to business analysis, requirements gathering, process mapping and functional solution design.
- Work closely with trading, operations, risk, finance and technology stakeholders to translate business requirements into practical solutions.
- Manage project delivery, stakeholder engagement and business transformation initiatives.
- Advise clients on trading workflows, operating models, process improvements and ETRM system capabilities.
- Support system integration, testing, change management and implementation activities.
Candidate Requirements
- Approximately 5–12 years of relevant experience in ETRM, commodity trading technology, consulting or business transformation.
- Hands‑on functional or project delivery experience with ETRM platforms such as Openlink Endur, Aspect or EOS.
- Background in Business Analysis, Project Management, Functional Consulting or Technology Transformation.
- Strong understanding of commodity trading processes and the trade lifecycle, ideally across oil, refined products or petrochemicals.
- Experience delivering projects within commodity trading houses, energy companies or consulting environments.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and analytical skills.
- Excellent academic credentials and experience within a recognised graduate programme or established consulting firm would be advantageous.
What’s on Offer
- Competitive contract rates of £600–£1,000 per day for UK engagements, depending on experience and project requirements, comparable salary in other locations.
- Opportunities to work on large‑scale ETRM and commodity trading transformation programmes.
- Exposure to major international trading houses and energy businesses.
- Hybrid working arrangements, typically three days onsite and two days remote.
- Opportunities across London, Europe, Singapore and Houston.
- Potential longer‑term or permanent opportunities depending on individual performance and business requirements.
