The University of Nottingham’s Department of Music invites applications for a Teaching Associate in Ethnomusicology. Qualifications

  • PhD qualification or equivalent in Music.
  • Advanced and wide-ranging knowledge of ethnomusicology.
  • Experience teaching ethnomusicology at HE level and experience of assessment at HE level.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver teaching and assessment of the undergraduate module Approaches to Popular Music (Levels Two and Three).
  • Supervise undergraduate students researching ethnomusicological topics.
  • Administer a research symposium.
  • Provide pastoral support to students as a Personal Tutor and promote Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
