Job summary

Saffery LLP in London is seeking a Manager - Ethics to support the operation and continuous improvement of the firm’s ethics and independence framework. You will interpret ethical standards, provide day-to-day guidance, and escalate complex issues as needed.

Ideally London-based with flexibility for remote work, you will monitor regulatory developments, draft guidance, coordinate declarations and annual compliance, and help develop ethics training while coaching junior team members.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant or equivalent with audit experience is required.
• Good knowledge of ICAEW Code of Ethics and FRC Ethical Standards is essential.
• ISQM (UK) 1 knowledge is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Interpret ethical standards and provide day-to-day guidance, escalating complex issues.
• Act as primary contact for ethics and independence matters and monitor compliance.
• Draft, maintain and implement ethics policies and guidance under supervision.
• Coordinate and monitor declarations, approvals and annual compliance processes.
• Support investigations into ethical breaches and coordinate remedial actions.
• Monitor regulatory developments and draft technical guidance and communications.
