Job summary

Centrica is seeking an experienced Ethics & Compliance Governance Consultant to strengthen the Group’s governance framework and regulatory accountability. You will act as SME on SM&CR, guide stakeholders, and drive enhancements to governance processes across the business.

You will coordinate regulatory reporting, embed a culture of ownership, and develop training to ensure compliance obligations are understood by Senior Managers and Certified Persons.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience in regulated environments.
• Exposure to FCA, PRA, Ofgem or similar frameworks.
• Strong governance, risk management and accountability understanding.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder influence.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and enhancement of the Group Ethics & Compliance Governance Framework.
• Act as SME for the Senior Managers & Certification Regime (SM&CR), guiding stakeholders.
• Drive enhancements to accountability frameworks, including regulatory mapping and governance processes.
• Deliver training, communications and engagement activities embedding accountability and compliance obligations.
• Coordinate regulatory reporting and information requests to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain key elements of the Compliance Framework, including policies and governance documentation.
• Build effective relationships across the business to deliver governance objectives.
