Job summary

365 Recruit is seeking an experienced Estimator to join a well-established contractor delivering refurbishment, retrofit and construction projects across the region. The role focuses on reviewing tender documents, preparing cost estimates and submitting competitive bids while supporting handovers to the delivery team.

You will evaluate subcontractor quotations, perform take-offs, identify risks and value engineering opportunities, and liaise with commercial and operational teams to win new work.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Estimator in the construction industry.
• Experience pricing refurbishment, retrofit or social housing projects.
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documentation, specifications and drawings.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates and tender submissions.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Carry out take-offs and quantity measurements.
• Identify project risks, opportunities and value engineering options.
• Liaise with the commercial and operational teams throughout the tender process.
• Attend pre-tender and post-tender meetings where required.
• Maintain estimating databases and cost information.
• Ensure submissions are completed accurately and within deadlines.
• Support handovers to the delivery team following successful contract awards.
