Job Description

At WSP, you will have the opportunity to develop your career in a dynamic environment, providing pre- and post-contract Quantity Surveying services including measurement, estimating, procurement, and commercial management across various projects.

Your Team

You will join a diverse team of Quantity Surveyors working across sectors such as highways, structures, public realm, property, and maritime. You will be part of our Project Management and Commercial Management Team (PMCM), which includes approximately 400 colleagues across the UK, providing services for building and infrastructure projects for public and private clients. You will be based in one of our offices in Manchester, Birmingham, Teesside, Bristol, or Guildford.

Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Associate RICS working towards MRICS or a desire to do so.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge and experience in estimating at various design stages, measurement methods, digital tools, and post-contract administration (NEC, JCT).
Desirable Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Flexible approach to workload.
  • Relevant professional qualification or working towards it (e.g., CICES, AcostE).
  • Degree or higher education qualification.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with CostX, CEMAR, NEC Contracts, and other industry-standard software.
  • Ability to travel to project sites and offices as needed.
