Fire Alarm Proposals Engineer – Stourbridge | Up to £50,000 + Benefits
Location: Stourbridge (Head Office)
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Are you an experienced Fire Alarm Proposals Engineer looking to join a forward-thinking, innovative company that values expertise and invests in its people?

The Role:

As a Fire Alarm Proposals Engineer, you’ll be responsible for estimating new installations, system modifications, and additions, ensuring proposals are accurate, competitive, and aligned with client needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage enquiries from initial survey through to proposal handover
• Prepare detailed cost sheets and proposal documentation
• Monitor supplier and equipment costs
• Collaborate with project and design teams
• Attend internal and client meetings
• Conduct site surveys across the UK (occasional travel abroad may be required)

What We’re Looking For:

Essential:

• Proven experience in commercial/industrial fire detection systems
• Strong knowledge of BS5839:2025, BS6266:2011, BS7273, BS8519:2020
• Familiarity with IEE 18th Edition and fire system interfaces
• Proficient in MS Office and estimating tools
• Full UK driving licence and DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain)

Desirable:

• Experience with gas suppression systems and various panel/detection manufacturers
• Understanding of ATEX/hazardous area regulations
• Knowledge of construction contracts and project planning software
