Steer Automotive Group is seeking an Estimator in Long Bennington to assess vehicle damage and generate accurate repair estimates for efficient turnaround. You will collaborate with workshop teams and insurers to ensure compliant methods and timely delivery.

Candidates with Audatex experience and strong attention to detail will thrive in a busy, evolving accident repair environment offering ongoing training and career progression.

Qualifications

• Experience as Estimator/Vehicle Damage Assessor in the accident repair industry.
• Experience using Audatex or similar estimating systems.
• Good understanding of vehicle repair methods and processes.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational and communication skills.
• ATA accreditation is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate repair estimates for damaged vehicles using Audatex or similar estimating systems.
• Assess vehicle damage and identify appropriate repair methods in line with insurer and manufacturer guidelines.
• Work closely with the workshop, parts department, and customer service teams to plan repairs efficiently.
• Liaise with customers, insurers, engineers, and colleagues throughout the repair process.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure estimates are completed within agreed timescales.
• Support continuous improvements to estimating accuracy and repair efficiency.

What You’ll Be Doing

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in an Estimator, Vehicle Damage Assessor, or similar role within the accident repair industry
• Experience using Audatex or other vehicle estimating systems would be advantageous
• A good understanding of vehicle repair methods and repair processes
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational and communication skills
• A proactive approach and willingness to learn and develop professionally
• ATA accreditation is desirable but not essential
