Andrews Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Estimator to price tenders for highways, surfacing, civils and infrastructure across Yorkshire, Greater Manchester and the North West. You will take enquiries from initial to submission, producing accurate estimates and reviewing drawings and tender information.

The role requires understanding of commercial risk, the ability to interpret technical and contractual details, and collaboration with operations and commercial teams.

Qualifications

• Previous estimating or tendering experience.
• Strong understanding of highways, civils or infrastructure projects.
• Commercial awareness and risk assessment ability.
• Ability to interpret technical and contractual information.
• Experience with NEC contracts or highways frameworks is advantageous.

Andrews Recruitment are one of the UK's leading Aggregate & Building Materials Recruitment partners and we’re recruiting for an experienced Estimator to support a major highways and infrastructure contracting business across Yorkshire, Greater Manchester and the wider North West.

This is not just a role for someone who can produce a price. The successful Estimator will understand the commercial, operational and technical detail behind a scheme, build competitive tenders and help present a solution that makes commercial sense to the customer.

The Role

As Estimator, you’ll take responsibility for pricing and tendering work from initial enquiry through to submission.

Typical responsibilities will include:

What We’re Looking For

We’re interested in people with genuine experience of estimating within highways, surfacing, civil engineering or infrastructure.

You should be able to demonstrate:

• Previous estimating or tendering experience
• Strong understanding of highways, surfacing, civils or infrastructure projects
• Commercial awareness and confidence assessing risk
• Ability to interpret technical and contractual information
• Confidence working with operational and commercial stakeholders
• Ability to work accurately to deadlines
• Experience with NEC contracts, highways frameworks or public-sector infrastructure work would be advantageous but is not essential.

The Team

You’ll join an established estimating and commercial function, working alongside senior Estimators, Contracts teams and operational colleagues.
