Elevation Recruitment Group is seeking an Estimator to support a major healthcare construction project in West Suffolk or London. You will prepare detailed cost estimates, price tenders, and collaborate with design, planning and construction teams to deliver accurate, competitive submissions.

You will work with subcontractors and suppliers to validate costs, apply first-principles costing and consider risk and site logistics to reflect project requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating for main contractor or Tier 2 construction business with substantial tenders.
• Healthcare construction exposure, hospital projects preferred.
• Ability to price major projects and reflect commercial/technical demands.

Responsabilités

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for direct work, preliminaries, labour, plant, materials and subcontractors.
• Support tender submissions with pricing models and commercial docs.
• Collaborate with design, planning and construction teams on methodology and site logistics.
• Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations, validate costs and methods.
• Create accurate quantity take-offs and develop estimates using multiple techniques.
• Contribute to risk assessments and ensure risks are reflected in tender submissions.
• Review designs and update estimates to maintain cost accuracy and identify value opportunities.
• Support costing of design changes and variations during tender process.
• Maintain cost databases and market intelligence to improve estimating accuracy.
• Coordinate with estimators and project teams for consistent submissions.
