Job Description

Professional and quality driven environmental contractor that provides environmental services throughout the nation is seeking a well established, dynamic professional to join our Estimating Team.

Primary Duties & Expectations:
  1. Tasks include providing accurate, comprehensive and competitive proposals for complex and technical remediation projects, civil projects, field service projects and industrial services projects including scope, cost and schedule.
  2. Prepare and submit construction reports such as work plans, submittals, health & safety plans etc.
  3. Assemble quality / professional bid packages.
  4. Must be able to read construction and civil drawings and perform quality estimating take-offs. Understand and have the ability to utilize industry recognized programs for determining volumes.
  5. Proficient in calculating final quantities such as earthwork, backfill, tank volumes, schedules and trench/pipe lengths etc.
  6. Attend bid / site walks.
  7. Interpret technical bid documents.
  8. Understand and interpret contracts.
  9. Realize financial impact of profit & loss, margin and budgets.
  10. Have strong working knowledge of environmental cleanup practices, excavation, construction and construction related activities, facility closures including UST/AST removal and decommissioning.
  11. Have working knowledge of Regulatory and Health & Safety compliance including OSHA, DOT, DEP and EPA regulations.
  12. Responsibilities include interaction and management of vendors, subcontractors and suppliers including negotiating pricing.
  13. Possess competent computer skills using the Microsoft Windows compatible Office suite software such as Word, Excel, and Outlook along with strong written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  14. Able to build construction schedules with bid submittals using Microsoft Project.
