We are currently looking for an entry-level Estimator to join our team and support the estimation and project management process for our clients. This role provides an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in the construction industry and develop valuable skills.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 4:00 pm
Responsibilities:
- Assist senior estimators in analyzing project plans, drawings, and specifications to prepare accurate material takeoff estimates for construction projects.
- Perform quantity takeoffs manually and using digital takeoff software to determine material requirements.
- Engage with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to gather pricing, material availability, and project details. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and ensuring smooth communication.
- Collaborate effectively with team members across various departments to achieve shared goals and ensure seamless project execution.
- Utilize CRM software to track job bids, estimates, and takeoffs, ensuring that records remain up-to-date and easily accessible.
- Work closely with outside sales staff to support customer takeoffs and requests, ensuring timely and accurate information.
- Conduct outreach to potential clients, vendors, and subcontractors to obtain relevant information for estimating purposes and support business development initiatives.
- Provide administrative support to the estimating team, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and assisting with proposal submissions.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or certification in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Ability to perform material takeoffs manually or using digital takeoff software.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for tracking bids and estimates.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and customers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with construction estimating software and CRM systems is a plus.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications accurately.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze project details effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working with internal teams, vendors, and customers.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, stay organized, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
