Job Summary

Superior Products Distributors Inc. is a leading provider of high-quality construction and building materials. We are dedicated to offering innovative solutions and exceptional customer service. We are currently looking for an entry-level Estimator to join our team and support the estimation and project management process for our clients. This role provides an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in the construction industry and develop valuable skills.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 4:00 pm

Responsibilities:

  • Assist senior estimators in analyzing project plans, drawings, and specifications to prepare accurate material takeoff estimates for construction projects.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs manually and using digital takeoff software to determine material requirements.
  • Engage with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to gather pricing, material availability, and project details. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and ensuring smooth communication.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members across various departments to achieve shared goals and ensure seamless project execution.
  • Utilize CRM software to track job bids, estimates, and takeoffs, ensuring that records remain up-to-date and easily accessible.
  • Work closely with outside sales staff to support customer takeoffs and requests, ensuring timely and accurate information.
  • Conduct outreach to potential clients, vendors, and subcontractors to obtain relevant information for estimating purposes and support business development initiatives.
  • Provide administrative support to the estimating team, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and assisting with proposal submissions.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or certification in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Ability to perform material takeoffs manually or using digital takeoff software.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for tracking bids and estimates.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and customers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with construction estimating software and CRM systems is a plus.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications accurately.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze project details effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working with internal teams, vendors, and customers.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, stay organized, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
