Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking an experienced Estimator to join the pre-construction team in Gateshead. You will produce accurate tenders from enquiry to submission, working with commercial and operations teams to ensure profitable bids and timely delivery.

Role involves reviewing drawings, pricing construction methods, and engaging with subcontractors. The position offers career progression within a growing contractor and a collaborative working environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Estimator within construction or civil engineering.
• Strong understanding of construction methods and pricing.
• Experience producing competitive tenders from first principles.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
• Knowledge of estimating software (Causeway or similar desirable).

Estimator – Construction & Civil Engineering
Location: Gateshead
Salary: Up to £65,000 + benefits

A well-established construction contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Estimator to join its growing pre-construction team in Gateshead. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a varied portfolio of construction and civil engineering projects while playing a key role in securing profitable new business. The advertised salary is £55,000–£65,000, depending on experience.

The Role

As Estimator, you will be responsible for producing accurate, competitive tenders from initial enquiry through to submission. Working closely with the commercial and operational teams, you will ensure bids are commercially viable and delivered to strict deadlines.
