Job summary

Bimplus in Doncaster is seeking an experienced Estimator – Commercial Roof Maintenance to price industrial and commercial roofing maintenance and repair works, including overlay, membranes, gutters, and leak investigations.

You will review engineer recommendations, prepare quotations, use spreadsheets and bespoke software to calculate costs, secure orders, procure parts, and plan schedules across national sites with occasional overnight stays.

Qualifications

• Must have experience estimating work within construction or services sectors.
• Ideally experience in roofing maintenance and repairs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Full UK driving license.
• IT literate with Microsoft Office.
• Confident and articulate with strong planning abilities.

Responsibilities

• Estimator role covering industrial and commercial roofing maintenance and repair services.
• Review engineer recommendations and client requests; generate minor works quotations.
• Use spreadsheets and bespoke software to calculate costs for minor works.
• Secure works orders, procure parts and plant, and schedule works.
• Assist development of supply chain by identifying potential new suppliers.
• Carry out site surveys nationwide; some overnight stays.
• Projects range in value from £1k to £100k.

The role of the Estimator – Commercial Roof Maintenance will involve:

• Estimator position dealing with a range of various industrial and commercial roofing maintenance and repair services; cut edge treatment, full roof overlay, single skin, composite, liquid & singly ply membranes, gutter refurbishment, leak investigation & repair, roof & gutter cleaning, and roof slating & tiling
• Reviewing engineer recommendations and client requests and generating minor works quotations
• Using spreadsheets and bespoke software to calculate costs to carry out minor works
• Securing works orders, procurement of parts and plant and scheduling works
• Assist with the development of supply chain by identifying potential new suppliers
• Carrying out site surveys as and when required (National with some overnight stays)
• Projects range in value from £1k to £100k

The ideal applicant will be an Estimator – Commercial Roof Maintenance with:

• Must have experience estimating work within the construction or services market sector
• Ideally will have experience within the roofing maintenance & repairs market sector
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Full UK driving license
• IT literate (Microsoft Office)
