Job summary

WrightBuild in the North West is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our pre-construction team and own pricing for regional infrastructure, rail and earthworks projects.

You'll work closely with commercial and pre-construction teams to produce detailed first-principles estimates, manage tender submissions and review specifications, drawings, and tender documents to support a growing pipeline of profitable work.

Qualifications

• Proven background as an Estimator within Civil Engineering / Infrastructure.
• Ability to price works confidently from first principles.
• Experience across highways, earthworks, rail, or general civils.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate, detailed first-principles cost estimates.
• Manage tender submissions across regional civils, earthworks, highways, and rail projects.
• Review specifications, drawings, and tender documentation thoroughly.
• Source, negotiate, and assess subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Identify commercial risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving alternatives.

About the Opportunity

I'm currently working with a leading, award-winning infrastructure contractor that's looking to appoint an experienced Estimator to join its expanding pre-construction team in the North West. This is a key role for a skilled civil engineering professional to take ownership of pricing exciting regional infrastructure, rail, and earthworks projects.

The Role
