Job summary

Caval Limited is seeking an experienced Estimator for Civils & Highways in Warrington (office-based). The role is split about 70% estimating and 30% project surveying, offering exposure to pre-construction and project delivery across local authority works, roundabouts, EV charging points, and related UK projects.

You will work with clients, subcontractors and the delivery team to ensure accurate estimates, robust pricing, and sound commercial performance across packages valued up to £3-4 million.

Qualifications

• Solid experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civils and/or groundworks.
• Estimating experience with confidence pricing work independently.
• Commercially aware and well organised.
• Based locally to Horwich or within a reasonable commuting distance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate estimates and tender submissions.
• Price civils and highways packages.
• Manage project costs and commercial performance on live projects.
• Handle valuations, variations and final accounts.

Estimator - Civils & Highways

Location: Warrington (Office Based)

We're looking for an experienced Civils and Highways Estimator to join our growing team in Warrington and work within the commercial team - with some exposure to QS duties as well.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys both pre-construction and project delivery, with the role currently split approximately 70% estimating and 30% project surveying.

You’ll be working across a varied portfolio of civil engineering and highways projects, including:

• Local authority works
• New roundabouts
• New EV charging points
• similar works around the UKProjects range from small packages through to contract values of approximately £3-4 million.

The Role

• Preparing accurate estimates and tender submissions
• Pricing civils and highways packages
• Managing project costs and commercial performance on live projects
• Valuations, variations and final accounts
• Working closely with clients, subcontractors and the delivery team

About You

• Has solid experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civils and/or groundworks
• Has estimating experience and is confident pricing work independently
• Is commercially aware and well organised
• Wants to play a key role in a small, ambitious business
• Is based locally to Horwich or within a reasonable commuting distance
