Remuneration: £30,000 - £40,000 (negotiable) + discretionary bonus

The role of the Estimator Architectural Metal will involve:

• Estimating a high-end range of architectural metal systems such as balustrades, balconies, canopies, stairs, handrails, and staircases
• Carrying out take-offs from drawings and measurements to produce bills of quantities and price schedules
• Dealing with enquiries from clients via phone and email
• Preparing and submitting accurate tenders within the provided timeframe
• Following up on tenders, receiving client feedback, and updating records
• Conducting handover meetings to pass secured projects to the production team
• Developing relationships with clients to secure further business
• Carrying out cost controls for projects
• Liaising with colleagues to facilitate tenders and project progression
• Producing estimates for projects ranging from £20k to circa £5m

The ideal applicant will have:

• Estimating experience within the metalwork fabrication market sector
• Experience with balustrades, balconies, canopies, stairs, handrails, staircases, and secondary steelwork
• Familiarity with JCT and NEC contracts
• Experience working for a subcontractor liaising with main contractors
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail and organization skills
• Driven, enthusiastic, and autonomous working style
