A regional house builder are looking for an experienced Estimator for their site in west Yorkshire. The role will include the assembly of new land opportunities with the creation of complete cost appraisals. You will be working with clear and detailed technical drawings for measurement take-off purposes. You will need to ensure that the completion of all budget cost appraisals is clear and assist in the assessment of viability prior to bid. Furthermore, all work must consist of regular updates which will ensure the robustness of all appraisals.

• Creation and delivery of technical drawings and data
• The ability to take quantities from technical drawings to create concise budgets
• Ensure excellent communication and relationships with the Land, Technical and Sales teams, which will ensure great understanding of the new developments and ensure robust appraisals
• Create and deliver build costs
• Create and deliver accurate build cost information for inclusion within the appraisals
• Ensure the continued updates of all build costs and various tracker information
• Create and deliver road, sewers and abnormal costs
• Create and deliver accurate cost budgets from detailed measurements for proposed roads and sewers.
• Working closely with the technical teams to ensure up-to-date information, to include any enabling works and site set-up costs
• Construction and sales prelims
• Create and deliver accurate calculation periods that relate to construction and sales estimated costs on site
• Conducting new land visits
• Any land visits may also be required prior to any initial appraisal take off to gain clearer understanding of site potential constraints

Keys Requirements

• You will need an ONC, HNC or equivalent OR to be qualified by experience
• A HND or Degree is desirable
• Experience in the construction industry, preferably house building
• You will need key knowledge and skills
• You will have the ability to work remotely
• Excellent communication and influencing skills
• You will be proficient and have an excellent level in numeracy
• An excellent understanding of specifications and working architectural drawings
• A great understanding of technical data/reports/drawings
• You will need to be a proficient communicator and be extremely motivated and resilient
• Salary of up to £60k plus a car allowance and bonus
• A Generous amount of annual leave
