Job summary

Branta Recruitment Ltd. partners with a growing North London business to recruit a Junior Estimator with 1–3 years of estimating experience. This role offers exposure to a portfolio of small commercial projects and a structured environment to accelerate career development.

You will build on your commercial foundation, gain hands-on experience in pricing, client liaison, and pricing disciplines across commercial construction while visiting sites and liaising with subcontractors and suppliers.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of estimating experience in construction, fit-out, or commercial refurbishment.
• Strong attention to detail with a practical, solutions-focused mindset.
• Confident communication and interpersonal skills for client-facing interaction.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and standard estimating/CAFM software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates and cost breakdowns for small commercial projects.
• Review drawings, tender specifications and site documentation to identify requirements.
• Assist in pricing exercises and coordinate full tender submissions.

• Liaise with subcontractors, material suppliers, and internal operational teams.
• Conduct site visits across new and existing project developments.
• Communicate professionally with end clients, main contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate commercial records, cost databases, and tender documentation.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 1 to 3 years of estimating experience within construction, fit-out, or commercial refurbishment.
• Strong attention to detail paired with a practical, solutions-focused mindset.
• Confident communication and interpersonal skills for client-facing interaction.
• Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard estimating/CAFM software.
• Full UK Driving Licence (essential for site visits).
• Proactive attitude with a desire to take ownership of pricing tasks and develop within the business.
