We have a position available for an Estimator to join our Commercial Team based in Caterham, Surrey.
What you'll be doing:
You will lead the production and maintenance of the site cost appraisals in order to facilitate effective budgeting and cost management throughout the whole development cycle, including the maintenance of the regional Build Cost Library. In addition, the Estimator will provide cost advice to the relevant functions to inform option appraisal, value-engineering and decision-making throughout the planning, design and implementation phases.
Skills & knowledge you'll bring:
Degree in Quantity Surveying (or building related course) and ideally CIOB or RICS qualified or has relevant experience
Strong understanding of the housebuilding process and construction.
Excellent knowledge of commercial contracts and arrangements.
Adept using computer software and applications for cost control, budgeting, and payments as well as Microsoft Office applications. Ideally experience in the use of COINS.
An adept communicator with honed skills in negotiating and influencing.
Excellent analytical skills and a strong commitment to meeting deadlines.
Ability to influence and build strong relationships across all levels of the organisation.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
