Job summary

Our client is seeking a Roofing & Cladding Estimator to join their Huntingdon office. You will prepare detailed cost estimates for roofing and cladding projects, review drawings, and coordinate with clients, suppliers, and internal teams throughout the tender process.

The role requires experience in roofing or cladding and a strong commercial awareness. A company car, benefits package, and permanent position are included.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Estimator in roofing, cladding, façades or related construction environments.
• Ability to interpret architectural and technical drawings.
• Experience preparing detailed tenders and cost estimates.
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates and tenders for roofing and cladding projects.
• Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Carry out accurate material and labour take-offs.
• Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Identify project risks, exclusions and commercial opportunities.
• Liaise with clients and contractors throughout the tender process.

• Work closely with design, commercial and project teams.
• Maintain accurate records of estimates and tender information.
• Assist with the handover of successful projects to the delivery team.

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Roofing & Cladding Estimator to join their team based at their Huntingdon office. This is an excellent opportunity for an Estimator with a strong background in roofing, cladding, façades or the wider building envelope sector to join an established and highly regarded business.

You will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for a range of roofing and cladding projects, working closely with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams throughout the tender process.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates and tenders for roofing and cladding projects
• Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation

• Proficient with Microsoft Office and relevant estimating software
• Full UK driving licence
