Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate quotations for machine part components.
• Interpret customer requirements from drawings, specifications, samples, or CAD models.
• Collaborate with Production, Purchasing, and Management.
• Coordinate with the Sales team to understand customer data and requirements.
• Obtain supplier quotations for externally sourced products.
• Liaise with suppliers to secure competitive pricing.
• Support reporting on quotation success rates and pricing competitiveness.
• Ensure compliance with company health and safety regulations.

Our client is a leading precision manufacturing company, with a reputation for product quality which is second to none and industry leading standards. They are looking for a charismatic, driven estimator with hands on machining expereince to build on success and improvements.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate quotations for machine part components, covering materials, labor, specifications, and subcontracted items.
• Interpret customer requirements from drawings, specifications, samples, or CAD models.
• Collaborate with Production, Purchasing, and Management to determine delivery timelines and machining costs.
• Coordinate with the Sales team to ensure customer data and requirements are fully understood.
• Obtain supplier quotations for externally sourced products when orders are confirmed.
• Liaise with suppliers to secure competitive pricing for materials and subcontracted services.
• Support reporting on quotation success rates, pricing competitiveness, and related metrics.
• Ensure compliance with all company health and safety regulations.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Experienced and results-driven machinist with a strong background in both CNC and manual operations.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings.
• Well-versed in the latest tooling technologies and machining techniques.
