Jaydee-Brook is an established and successful Internal Fit Out Company based in Peterborough. With over 35 years of experience in retail, commercial, industrial installations, and refurbishments, the company has built a strong reputation for quality, efficiency, and service.

As part of our expansion programme, we are currently looking to recruit an experienced Estimator for our Internal Fit Out division.

Location: Head Office Based in Peterborough (Orton Southgate, close to A1)

Hours: Full Time – Monday to Friday

Salary: £55,000+ p.a. + Other Benefits & Bonuses (Dependent on Experience, Capabilities & Ambition)

Our company prides itself on high standards, professionalism, and quality project delivery. Working with numerous high-profile clients, we seek an experienced Estimator with a can-do attitude, proven within the shopfitting or internal fit-out sector.

Key Accountabilities:
  1. Valuing subcontract accounts
  2. Preparing and updating regular valuations and final account forecasts
  3. Monthly reconciliation reports
  4. Identifying, analyzing, and reducing commercial risks
  5. Preparation and submission of final accounts
  6. Agreement and certification of subcontractors' valuations and final accounts
  7. Manage and value variations
  8. Maintain subcontract database
  9. Assess tender documents to ensure sufficient information for costing
  10. Prepare and issue subcontract enquiries and assess quotations
  11. Complete tender documents for submission and follow-up
  12. Prepare specifications and contractor proposals
  13. Maintain contract documentation and advise on pre-tender and post-contract matters
  14. Carry out take-offs for material procurement
  15. Email site measurements
Personal Specifications & Qualities:
  • Experience in internal fit-out and familiarity with the fast-track industry mentality
  • Understanding of JCT Contracts
  • Diligent and numerically proficient
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
  • A full driving licence
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and ambitious
  • Strong commercial acumen and financial understanding
  • Proficient in subcontractor negotiations
  • Ability to carry out take-offs and formalize Bills of Quantities
  • Team player capable of managing multiple activities
  • Outgoing personality for client and team interactions
  • Flexibility to work across various areas and hours to meet deadlines
