As an Intermediate Estimator, you’ll support the preparation of accurate and competitive tenders across a wide variety of projects—from high-spec residential new builds to heritage façade restorations. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their estimating career while working alongside a skilled and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to prepare cost estimates
  • Assist with take-offs, pricing, and compiling bid submissions
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations
  • Support senior estimators and the wider pre-construction team in delivering timely, accurate tender returns
  • Develop an understanding of build methods, specialist materials, and restoration techniques
  • Maintain internal databases and assist with project cost tracking and handover

REQUIREMENTS

About You

  • Previous experience in an estimating role, ideally within a main contractor or specialist restoration contractor
  • Good understanding of construction methods and materials, particularly in high-end residential or heritage sectors
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within a high-performing team
  • Relevant qualifications in construction, quantity surveying, or related discipline (preferred)
