Job summary

Fawkes & Reece London is seeking an estimator to join a premier tier 1 fitout contractor in central London. The role involves taking responsibility for projects up to 20 million, collaborating with architects, engineers and project managers, and producing detailed BOQs from drawings, specifications, and tender documents.

Ideal candidates will have knowledge of building materials and construction methods, strong mathematical and analytical skills, and the ability to read construction drawings

Amazing opportunity for an estimator to join a reputable tier 1 fitout contractor in the City of London!

About:

We are currently looking for an estimator to join a Tier 1 fitout contractor, in central London. Our client has an outstanding turnover of over 350mill +. As Estimator you will take responsibility of projects with the values of up to 20 million. This includes large scale multi million pound flagships.

The role:

• Identify risks and contingencies
• Work with architects, engineers, quality surveyors and project managers to clarify technical and pricing issues
• Measure and calculate the quantities of materials, labour, equipment and other construction activities
• Study architectural drawings, specifications and tender documents to understand the scope of work
• Produce detailed BOQs showing descriptions of work, units of measurements, quantities, rates and total amounts

About you:

Tier 1 fitout contractor would be desirable, you should have:

• Knowledge of building materials and construction methods
• Good mathematical and analytical skills
• Attention to detail, communication, and negotiation skills
• The ability to read and interpret construction drawings
