Estimator:

Salary: Starting at £60,000 Dependent on Experience

Our company is part of the Group Ateliers de France. The Group has been involved in projects as exceptional as the Chateau de Versailles in France, the White House Oval Office in Washington, Matarazzo in Brazil, Hotel Peninsula in Paris and London, the Eiffel Tower, and many private residences.

ADF London is looking to recruit an Estimator to undertake estimation duties for one of our international projects. The role is based in our London office. Your duties will include:

Principal activities:

1. Review and analyse tender documents to prepare detailed cost plan/estimates
2. Conduct site visit(s) to understand logistics and conditions
3. Liaise with the Design Team (Internal/External) to understand scope & design intent
4. Prepare tender documents for pricing purposes
5. Identify correct supply chain, and/or use supply chain contacts for tendering/pricing
6. Evaluate tender returns and associated documents
7. Update cost plan/estimate with tender data
8. Present tender pricing to business management for review/approval
9. Prepare & submit comprehensive bid proposals & reports in accordance with business strategy
10. Liaise with Planner/PM in relation to logistics & programme
11. Propose alternative solutions (VE)
12. Experience in estimating software
13. Analyse data (Project by Project)
14. Present handover document if bid successful

Related activities:

• Liaising with the Employer’s representatives in all aspects of both cost and value.
• Assisting the drafting and execution of supply chain agreements.
• Assisting with procurement estimating requirements as required.

Experience:

1. Proven experience as a Construction Estimator or in a similar role within the Construction Industry
2. Ideally strong knowledge of high-end residential fit-out/luxury hotels
3. Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, etc.
4. Proficiency in estimating software
5. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
6. Strong communication and negotiation skills
7. Strong time management skills
8. Knowledge of different forms of contracts
9. Ability to work within a team or on your own.
