Job description

Our client is an employee-owned construction group that regularly features in the top 100 of the Sunday Times Best Companies to Work For award.
They are currently seeking an experienced Estimator to join their skilled and experienced Construction division, to deliver a competitive and accurate tendering function for projects up to £15m. Based at their Head Office in Lincoln, this division undertakes a variety of new build and refurbishment projects in the region.

THE ROLE:

Responsibilities will include:

  1. Preparing Traditional and Design & Build tenders.
  2. Appraising tender documents, preparing sub-contract and material enquiries.
  3. Producing detailed and measured bills of quantities when required.
  4. Risk and value management.
  5. Preparation of budget estimates and cost plans.
  6. Internal tender adjudications and external client presentations.
THE CANDIDATE:

Candidates must have a building background with extensive knowledge of all aspects of refurbishment and new build construction across numerous sectors. They should also have:

  1. A good understanding of current CDM 2015 Health and Safety requirements, modern methods of construction, and contractual awareness.
  2. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Excel.
  3. Experience using specialist estimating software packages.
  4. A Higher Education qualification (HNC, Diploma, Degree) in a construction-related subject would be an advantage but not essential.
  5. Experience managing a range of projects at any one time.

The successful candidate must have high attention to detail, provide an innovative and proactive approach to problem-solving, and be able to meet deadlines.

THE ROLE:

The role is full-time (Apply online only) Monday to Friday. Salary will be commensurate with experience, skill level, and qualifications.
