Job summary

RG Setsquare in Kent is hiring an experienced Estimator to join our expanding team and deliver robust tenders for social housing projects.

You will interpret drawings, prepare accurate take-offs, and manage multiple bids with strong commercial focus, working to tight deadlines and secure profitable outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5 years' estimating experience within construction and/or Social Housing.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specs and tender docs to produce take-offs and Bills of Quantities.
• Knowledge of JCT and ACA contracts.
• Strong commercial awareness with numerical and analytical skills.
• Experience using estimating software or ability to learn quickly.
• Good communication and stakeholder management with tender submissions.
• Organised with ability to manage multiple tenders under pressure.

Estimator

£50k to £80k per annum DOE + Package

Kent

Our client is a large and expanding business, focused on delivering projects within the Social Housing sectors. Joining a team of specialists, you will be asked to deliver upon solutions relevant to our clients' needs and challenges within that social infrastructure environment.

You should be an experienced and ambitious Intermediate Estimator, Estimator or Senior Estimator with a background in Social Housing. Commercially minded and detail focused, you'll lead the preparation of accurate, competitive, and commercially robust tenders that support the continued growth of our business.

Ideally you will have the following skills and experience:

• 5 years' estimating experience within the construction industry and/or Social Housing experience.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and tender documentation and produce accurate take-offs and Bills of Quantities.
• Knowledge of JCT and ACA contracts.
• Commercial awareness with excellent numerical and analytical skills.
• Experience using estimating software, or the ability to quickly learn new systems.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to present and justify tender submissions.
• Organised, with the ability to manage multiple tenders and work effectively under pressure.
• Degree, HNC, HND, or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline desirable.
