Job summary

Waites Recruitment Consultancy LTD seeks an experienced estimator for a full-time position in Leeds. The role involves compiling detailed estimates from drawings and specifications, managing tender processes and maintaining client relationships.

You will need a commercially aware mindset and the ability to work to deadlines in a busy steel construction environment. Hours are 37.5 per week, Monday to Thursday 08:30–17:00 and Friday 08:30–15:45.

Qualifications

• Ideally hold a relevant qualification in an appropriate technical or engineering discipline.
• Prior experience with Structural Steel is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage enquiry process and identify commercially viable schemes.
• Maintain and develop client relationships and pursue new business opportunities.
• Ensure smooth operation of estimating and tender processes, liaising with clients and all departments.
• Prepare detailed estimates for clients.

Waites Recruitment Consultancy LTD are seeking an experience construction estimator on a full time employment for a client in Leeds.

Hours of work: 37.5 per week

My client is one of the UK's leading structural steelwork specialists designing, manufacturing and constructing a wide portfolio of projects to a variety of clients, established for over 75 years with a professional and dynamic team.

Our experienced workforce can tackle projects from simple building frames to the most complex structures. With plants in Barnsley South Yorkshire, we have the capability to process 50,000 tonnes of steel per annum, and are able to service clients at locations throughout the UK and Europe.

We wish to appoint a commercially aware, customer focused professional with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels with clients and colleagues and have the capability to manage a varied workload within tight deadlines. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a thorough practical understanding of the estimating process combined with the ability to work from detailed drawings and specifications

Mon - Thu - 08.30 - 5.00pm, Friday 08:30 - 3.45pm

Role Responsibilities

• Responsible for the enquiry process and identifying commercially viable schemes.
• maintaining and building upon current client relationships and assisting in the development of new client relationships and new business opportunities.
• ensuring the smooth operation of the estimating and tender process liaising closely with clients and all departments across the business.
• Preparing detailed estimates for clients

Skills, Experience and Qualifications
