Job summary

Mitchell Maguire Recruitment Ltd is assisting in the recruitment of an Estimator – Sheeting & Cladding. The role is office based in Milton Keynes or Essex depending on location, handling tenders, site surveys and quotations for industrial & commercial roofing projects.

You will liaise with clients, suppliers and manufacturers to secure competitive prices, maintain records and ensure deadlines are met. A proactive team player with strong communication and regulatory knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in estimating roof sheeting, commercial roofing or cladding
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Understanding of current building regulations

Responsibilities

• Promote a range of Industrial & Commercial Roofing projects
• Deal with inbound project enquiries and review scopes of work
• Visit sites across the South East as required
• Keep tender and quotation records on internal database
• Build and maintain relationships with contractors and vendors
• Carry out site surveys and measurements for quotations
• Liaise with clients for additional information
• Obtain competitive prices from suppliers and manufacturers
• Produce formal quotations to clients
• Support team with additional tasks to meet deadlines

Job description

Office Based: Milton Keynes or Essex (Dependant on location)

Remuneration: £50,000 - £70,000 + Discretionary profit share bonus

The role of the Estimator – Sheeting & Cladding will involve:

• Estimator position promoting a range of Industrial & Commercial Roofing projects
• Dealing with inbound project enquiries and reviewing scopes of work
• May be a requirement to visit sites across the South East
• Keep good documentation of tenders and quotations on internal database
• Build and maintain relationships with contractors and vendors
• Carrying out site surveys and measurements to compile further information for quotation
• Liaising with clients to acquire any additional information as required
• Liaise with suppliers and manufactures to obtain competitive prices
• Producing formal quotations to clients
• May be required to do tasks outside of estimating to assist the team
• Prioritising workload to ensure deadlines are met

The ideal applicant will be an Estimator – Sheeting & Cladding with:

• Must have Estimating experience with roof sheeting, commercial roofing, cladding or a closely related product / system
• Highly advantageous to have experience using Kingspan, TATA or CA Group’s products or systems
• Preferable to have surveying experience for site visits
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Understanding of current building regulations
• Strong character that’s not afraid to help the team when necessary
