Job summary

Mitchell Maguire Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Estimator – Facades in Essex. You will handle tender enquiries, liaise with clients and suppliers, and produce formal quotes for projects from £500k to £25m. The role requires strong experience in the cladding/facade sector and proficiency with Takeoff software.

Ideal candidates will have excellent numerical and analytical skills, be highly organized, and capable of building solid contractor relationships to meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Must have estimating experience within the cladding / façade / building envelope industry
• Strong understanding of rainscreen and curtain walling is highly advantageous
• Understanding of Takeoff software
• Outgoing character who will be an integral part of the team
• High levels of organisation and excellent time management
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills
• Proactive and motivated with strong commercial awareness

Responsibilities

• Reviewing tender enquiries to gain an understanding of project requirements
• Liaising with clients to acquire any additional information required
• Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain competitive prices
• Carrying out site surveys as and when required
• Producing formal quotations to clients
• Keep good documentation of tenders and quotations on internal database
• Build and maintain relationships with contractors and vendors
• Prioritising workload to ensure deadlines are met
• Estimating for projects from £500k - £25m

Estimator – Facades

Job Title: Estimator – Facades

Location: Essex

Remuneration: £60,000 - £75,000 + bonus

Benefits: Pension, 25 days annual leave

The role of the Estimator – Facades will involve:

• Estimator position dealing with various architectural external finishes inclusive of but not limited to GRC, Glass Reinforced Concrete, Brickslips, Terracotta, Renders, Aluminium and High-Pressure Laminate (HPL) cladding.
• Reviewing tender enquiries to gain an understanding of project requirements
• Liaising with clients to acquire any additional information required
• Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain competitive prices
• Carrying out site surveys as and when required
• Producing formal quotations to clients
• Keep good documentation of tenders and quotations on internal database
• Build and maintain relationships with contractors and vendors
