Estimator
Our client specialises in bespoke architectural glass for the commercial construction sector, delivering tailored solutions for main contractors and high-end fit-out companies. They handle complex projects, from single panels to large-scale installations, including back-lit, framed, sandblasted, and integrated glass features for demanding design requirements.
Due to company growth, our client is looking to bring an experienced Glass Estimator in to join the Estimating team.
As a Glass Estimator you will be responsible for managing multiple tenders, ranging in value from £1,000 to £1,000,000, by accurately estimating costs, creating detailed quotes, and coordinating with contractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure all project requirements are met within tight deadlines.
What's in it for you?
- Working hours alternate weekly from 08:00 - 5:00 and 08:30 - 5:30 Monday to Thursday with Fridays always remaining the same hours of 08:00 - 5:00.
- Salary - Up to £40,000.

Position Overview
- Manage between 5 and 15 tenders at any given time, with values ranging from £1,000 to £1,000,000 and deadlines between 3 days and 3 weeks.
- Estimate large-scale projects for the internal fit-out sector.
- Perform take-offs from architectural and technical drawings, ensuring accuracy in contract details.
- Use Excel to create accurate, detailed, and professional quotes that incorporate glass specifications, hardware, installation, and delivery.
- Communicate with contractors, merchants, suppliers, and end-users to clarify missing elements, aesthetic requirements, and build-up details.
- Maintain a high level of detail and accuracy in all estimating tasks.
- Ensure effective digital folder management for organising and tracking tender-related documents.
Position Requirements
- At least 18 months of experience estimating large-scale projects in the internal fit-out sector, ideally in Architectural Glass or related fields.
- Proficient in performing take-offs from architectural and technical drawings and contract details.
- Highly skilled in using Excel to create accurate, detailed quotes that incorporate glass specifications, hardware, installation, and delivery.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with contractors, merchants, suppliers, and end-users to clarify tender details.
- Detail-oriented, solution-focused, adaptable, and highly organized, with effective digital folder management skills.
