Job summary

rise technical recruitment is hiring an Estimator in Romford, Essex, to join a long-established commercial roofing specialist. You will produce accurate take-offs from drawings, price works, review specifications, and prepare BOQs, while managing subcontractor quotations.

The role is office-based with occasional site visits to London. You will be developed into lead estimator with structured progression and training to support technical and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Experience pricing construction projects (roofing or sub-contractor background).
• Able to complete take-offs from drawings and produce estimates.
• Commutable to Romford and office-based.

Are you an Estimator from a sub-contractor background looking to step into a role where you will be developed into the lead estimator with clear succession and long-term progression? Do you want to join a long-established specialist business that works with Tier 1 contractors nationwide and is known for delivering high-quality commercial projects? On offer is a fantastic opportunity that provides long-term development in a stable, well-established company where you will be trusted to take ownership of tenders and supported with training to help you progress technically and professionally. This company are a commercial roofing specialist and nationwide subcontractor with a long-standing reputation in their market. Due to continued workload and a planned succession within their estimating function, they are now looking to add an intermediate Estimator into their London team. In this role you will be predominantly office-based in Romford, producing accurate take-offs from drawings, pricing works, reviewing specifications, producing bills of quantities and managing subcontractor quotations. There may be occasional visits into London sites as required. This role would suit an Estimator with experience working on roofing projects or for a subcontractor who is looking for structured development, increased responsibility and a clear route to becoming the lead estimator for the London office.
