Are you an experienced Estimator with a background in bespoke joinery, metal fabrication, or shopfitting? White Label are working on behalf of a long-established commercial interiors specialist to find a capable and detail-oriented Estimator to join their team.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a business that delivers high-profile, full turnkey retail fit-out projects for some of the UKs most recognisable brands. The successful candidate will play a key role in the end-to-end estimating process for bespoke manufacturing projects.
The Role
Reporting into the Estimating Manager, you'll be responsible for producing accurate, detailed estimates for complex fit-out and fabrication projects involving manufactured joinery, metalwork, and associated trades.
Key responsibilities of the Estimator include:
Reviewing tender documents and understanding project-specific requirements
Preparing tender packages for suppliers, subcontractors, and internal manufacturing teams
Building detailed cost estimates using Excel, factoring in materials, labour, and operations such as machining, joinery, assembly and welding
Liaising with suppliers to obtain and analyse quotations
Identifying value engineering (VE) opportunities
Submitting tenders in line with strict deadlines
Attending pre-start and internal handover meetings
Supporting the client and project teams throughout the lifecycle of the job
About You:
To be successful in this role, youll need:
Previous estimating experience in a similar manufacturing or shopfitting environment
A strong understanding of joinery and metalwork processes
The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Excellent attention to detail, numeracy and analytical skills
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
A collaborative approach, with excellent communication skills
Desirable but not essential:
Experience in fit-out or refurbishment estimating
Familiarity with supply chain logistics and incoterms
