A busy engineering client on the outskirts of Belfast is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team. In this role, you will review enquiries, prepare estimates, and liaise with clients to ensure accurate quotations. If you have at least 2 years of relevant experience and are skilled in reading engineering drawings, this opportunity could be ideal for you.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience as an estimator.
• Proficiency in reading engineering drawings.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Based in the outskirts of Belfast in Co Down, our busy engineering client is seeking applications for the post of Estimator.

The successful Estimator will join a well-established team and as such will have an excellent support network. You will be responsible for reviewing enquiries and the preparation of estimates and associated quotations.

Responsibilities:

• Review quote & tender enquiry packs received to ensure that relevant information is available for pricing
• Compile and send out quotations that match their specifications.
• Liaise with clients to request additional information
• Compile specific product information to send to customers as and when required.
• Follow up with customers within a set time period
• Ensure all relevant information is saved accurately and accessible
• Prepare handover files to project delivery team for secured projects

Criteria:

• A minimum of 2 years previous relevant experience as an estimator
• Ability to read engineering drawings
• Good Microsoft Office skills to include Excel, Word
• A third level engineering / surveying qualification is highly desirable

Salary is in the region of £30 – 40k depending upon experience. Working hours are 9-5 with an early finish on Friday!
