Job Description

Are you a skilled Estimator with a background in civil engineering? One of Scotland's most well established construction firms, renowned for delivering high-quality projects across multiple sectors is looking to expand their team.

They seek an experienced Estimator to support a strong pipeline of work in earthworks, drainage, utilities, groundworks, and more.

Key responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and detailed estimates for a wide range of construction and civil engineering projects.
- Interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents to carry out cost analysis and take-offs.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and supply chain partners to produce competitive tender submissions.
- Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Identify and assess project risks, opportunities, and value engineering alternatives.
- Attend site visits and pre-tender meetings where necessary.

Requirements:
- Proven experience in estimating within civil engineering.
- Solid understanding of construction methods and supply chain.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and work to tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
