Job description

A long-established and respected construction firm in Aberdeenshire is seeking an experienced Estimator to lead pricing and tendering activities across a wide range of projects. With values rooted in quality, trust, and building long-term client relationships, the company delivers work across a variety of sectors including commercial, industrial, civil engineering, retail, and residential sectors.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing the full estimating process from initial enquiry to submission. This includes reviewing incoming tender opportunities, preparing and issuing enquiries to subcontractors and suppliers, and developing detailed cost plans and pricing based on first principles. You’ll also be expected to build and maintain strong relationships within the supply chain to ensure competitive and accurate pricing and collaborate closely with commercial and project delivery teams.

It is essential applicants hold experience in a similar estimating role, with a solid background in building and/or civil engineering works. A relevant academic background—such as a qualification in Construction, Engineering, or Quantity Surveying is desirable , along with a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office tools. We're looking for someone who can work independently while also contributing effectively within a wider team environment.
