Job summary

Midco Print & Packaging Ltd in Blaby, UK is seeking an Estimating & Procurement / Purchasing Assistant. This varied role combines estimating, purchasing and supplier management, with full training and ongoing support.

The successful candidate will work with NHS projects, liaising with suppliers to obtain pricing and preparing quotations. Applicants should be highly organised with excellent numeracy, attention to detail and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Strong administrative skills, attention to detail and basic numeracy are essential.
• Previous estimating experience is not essential, as full training will be provided.
• Needs good negotiation skills and IT literacy to work with suppliers and pricing.

Responsibilities

• Calculating costs for NHS products and liaising with suppliers for pricing and product information.
• Preparing and reviewing quotations and ensuring pricing is accurate and competitive.
• Working closely with colleagues and suppliers to meet customer requirements.
• Maintaining strong relationships with existing suppliers and negotiating pricing and terms.
• Sourcing and developing new suppliers and obtaining competitive quotations.
• Monitoring supplier pricing and availability and supporting NHS print/packaging market success.
