Job Description

Job Overview: To be responsible for generating accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for projects, ensuring that systems are competitively represented in project quotations. This role requires in-depth knowledge of fire compliance and construction methods to analyze project specifications, interpret architectural drawings, and determine accurate product selection in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Have a deep understanding of how to achieve product spec compliance.
  2. Ability to review architect tender information to create a brief for the estimating team.
  3. Have an in-depth knowledge of the product range and supply chain to enable the best commercial solution.
  4. Identify value engineering options and improvements and create high-quality bid documents.
  5. Handle quote revisions and other administrative activities to assist the Project Consultant.
  6. Answer questions over the phone or email and add information to the CRM system, based on internal technical product training.
  7. Liaise with clients, contractors, architects, and suppliers to gather necessary information for accurate cost pricing.
  8. Maintain an in-depth knowledge of Excel.
  9. Understand the competitive landscape for each system and the benefits of our products over theirs.
  10. Understand the construction industry, fire door industry, and key standards and regulations.
  11. Have a clear understanding of each product, its specific details, usage scenarios, and certifications.
  12. Navigate and utilize the Pipedrive CRM system effectively.
  13. Plan and manage time and tasks to meet company objectives.

Additional Information:

  • Office-based role, Monday to Friday, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm (3:30 pm on Fridays).
