  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure all technical, commercial and delivery aspects are reflected within estimates.
  • Supporting risk and opportunity assessments and contribute to robust cost planning processes.
  • Undertaking benchmarking exercises and analysis to validate estimate accuracy.
  • Communicating estimating assumptions, outputs and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Liaising with clients, supply chain partners and internal teams to gather information and challenge assumptions where required.
  • Supporting quality assurance activities to ensure estimates are accurate, consistent and fit for purpose.
  • Contributing to tender submissions and business development opportunities.
  • Mentoring and support colleagues where appropriate, sharing knowledge and best practice.
  • Championing compliance with Mace governance processes and support our commitment to delivering a net zero carbon future.
You’ll Need To Have
  • Experience working as an Estimator within the construction, infrastructure or transportation sectors.
  • Strong understanding of estimating principles, methodologies and cost planning processes.
  • Knowledge of construction techniques, project delivery and associated costs.
  • Experience using estimating systems and cost management tools.
  • Proficiency in Excel and cost analysis software.
  • Experience using CAD or PDF-based measurement software.
  • Understanding of Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS) and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).

  • Relevant degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience within rail, highways, aviation, active travel, ports or wider mobility infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with industry methods of measurement and sector-specific estimating approaches.
  • Passion for innovation and the application of new technologies within project delivery.
  • A collaborative and proactive approach.
  • Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness.
