Overview

Estates Team Leader (P01506) | Starting salary £55,051pa with potential progression to £58,445pa on achieving designated skills and experience (inclusive of outer fringe allowance) • 37 hours per week (hybrid)

Do you have significant experience working in an Estates Services environment? If yes, then this role will be the perfect role for you. Reporting to the Assistant Director (Regeneration and Economic Development) and forming an integral part of the Council’s Regeneration and Economic Development and Corporate Property Team, your role will be to manage the Council’s Estates Team. You will be providing a comprehensive, property management service to the Council for its commercial portfolio. You will be responsible for managing assets generating income of £5.5 million per annum as well as providing support on key regeneration projects and providing property advice to various internal departments and elected members. You will have significant property management experience and knowledge on relevant areas of legislation including commercial landlord and tenant law. You will liaise with various internal departments, including Legal Services, Finance and Building Services with a view to maximising commercial opportunities and driving revenue growth. You will manage a team of surveyors and support officers as well as external contractors and you will also deputise for the Assistant Director (Regeneration and Economic Development) as necessary.

The role would suit a dynamic, results orientated individual used to working in a target driven environment. You will have excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal, problem solving and IT skills and will have a flexible approach to work. Experience of working in a commercial property environment is essential. Experience of working in both public and private sector is desirable but not essential. This role is politically restricted. You will have a full UK driving licence. The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential in this post.
