Job overview

The post holder will be responsible for the operational management of the building and engineering services for the Trust and for the management of the Estate including staff management. To provide specialist and professional building and engineering expertise to the Trust, other estates staff, directors and senior managers. To act as Authorised Person for a number of disciplines.

Main duties of the job

To undertake Authorised Person responsibilities in relation to specified systems.

To be the source of technical ability and supply interpretation of legislation when needed to senior estates management team

Day to day operational management of direct labour and contractors in line with standards such as HTM’s SFG20 and operating procedures.

Working with the Head of Estates agreeing, monitoring and reporting against budgets.

Ensuring the design and build installation and services comply in accordance with, legislation, statutory, HTM requirements and service requirements.

Active member of the management team. Representing the department commercially and technically at meetings when required.

To continually improve reporting systems to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
