Job summary

Peabody is seeking an Estates Services Gardener to maintain outdoor spaces across our Oxford estates. You will trim hedges, plant seasonal beds, mow lawns, and control weeds, while keeping areas tidy and safe and collaborating with residents and colleagues.

A full, clean UK manual driving licence is required. A company van is provided, along with 30 days’ annual leave (plus bank holidays), two paid volunteering days each year, access to a benefits portal, life assurance at four times salary, and

Qualifications

• People person who enjoys outdoor work in all weather.
• Solid horticultural experience and confident using powered gardening tools.
• Reliable, proactive and takes pride in work.
• Holds a full, clean UK manual driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Tackle scheduled grounds maintenance tasks (hedges, beds, lawns, weeds).
• Maintain estates by trimming hedges, planting beds and mowing lawns.
• Dispose of green waste safely and in line with regulations.
• Work closely with residents and colleagues to keep spaces presentable.

As an Estate Services Gardener, your day might begin with tackling scheduled grounds maintenance tasks—trimming hedges, planting vibrant seasonal beds, mowing lawns, and keeping weeds under control. You’ll be involved in all kinds of horticultural activities, helping to keep our estates looking their best. You’ll also play a key role in ensuring green waste is disposed of responsibly and in line with regulations.

You’ll be part of a friendly, hard-working team that’s passionate about creating beautiful environments. Working closely with colleagues and residents, you’ll help shape Peabody’s outdoor spaces into places people are proud to call home.
