Job summary

Southern Housing is recruiting for an Estates Services Cleaner for a temporary 3–6 month contract with potential extension or permanent opportunity for the right candidate. Rate negotiable based on experience.

The role is based at Mosaic East, Croydon, Surrey (CR0 6SR). The successful candidate will carry out general cleaning duties in communal areas, operate cleaning machinery when needed, maintain cleanliness of refuse areas and support residents as required, including covering for colleagues

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence and ability to drive company vehicles as and when required.
• Experience of undertaking cleaning duties.
• Basic knowledge and understanding of health and safety considerations as they apply to this role.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general cleaning duties to communal areas e.g., sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, polishing, litter picking etc.
• Sweep, disinfect and keep tidy refuse chutes, bins and bin areas (where appropriate)
• When required, use machinery (jet washers, steam cleaners etc) to carry out deep cleaning. Any training required will be provided.
• Report any repairs or defects in communal areas to maintenance department/ line manager and follow up actions as required.
• Provide cover in the absence of other colleagues.
• Be a point of contact for residents, assist where possible or refer enquiries to colleagues.

I am currently representing Southern Housing who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3-6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience

We are looking for a Estates Services Cleaner this role will be based at: Mosaic East, 4th Floor,17 Addiscombe Road, Croydon, Surrey, CR0 6SR

The right candidate will:
