Job description

The University of London is seeking a qualified candidate for a Business Administration role. The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Taking responsibility for initiating and completing tasks, and managing priorities and time to successfully meet deadlines
  • Preparing agendas and taking minutes of meetings when required
  • Supporting financial administration, including raising purchase requisitions and maintaining purchase order records
  • Processing and responding to enquiries, providing specialist and general advice on services under the supervision of an experienced mentor within the Estates and Property Department
  • Inputting data into Management Information Systems, such as Computer Aided Facilities Management and Environmental Management systems
  • Assisting with the preparation of Estates and Property Services reports and statistical data
  • Assisting with updates and improvements to the department's intranet pages
  • Assisting with organizing and arranging Estates and Property Services events and functions, including logistical support and coordination of resources
  • Contributing to the development and improvement of the department's administrative systems and processes, making suggestions for improvements
  • Assisting in the collection of evaluation data for projects to seek insights into what has worked well and what needs improving
  • Using tools to scope, plan, monitor, and report to successfully support the delivery of projects
  • Undertaking other duties of a similar nature which fall within the scope of the role, and which may be required from time to time
  • Supporting with travel arrangements where appropriate

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A GCSE in English (grade 4-9 or A-C) and Maths (grade 4-9 or A-C)
  • Relevant qualifications and industry experience are desirable, but not essential
  • Strong communication, organizational, and administrative skills
  • Attention to detail, logical thinking, and team working abilities
