Qualifications

  • 3+ years' experience leading teams on medium-scale construction projects.
  • Experience delivering projects in the defence sector is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the delivery of medium-scale construction projects.
  • Integrate project teams into the wider business and embed a strong Health & Safety culture.
  • Mentor and develop junior project managers.
  • Define project objectives, scope, and priorities with senior support.
  • Develop and manage project budgets and cost plans.
  • Oversee external advisors and support procurement activities.
  • Ensure accurate configuration control of all project documentation.
  • Apply effective risk management and quality control strategies.

Overview

Estates Project Manager - Maternity Cover (4 Months). Farnborough - Hybrid Working. £55 per hour. Our Defence clients are looking for an experienced Estates Project Manager to join our team on a 4-month maternity cover contract, leading the delivery of specialist construction and estate management projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on impactful infrastructure and estate initiatives in a high-security, high-compliance environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the delivery of medium-scale construction projects.
  • Integrate project teams into the wider business and embed a strong Health & Safety culture.
  • Mentor and develop junior project managers.
  • Define project objectives, scope, and priorities with senior support.
  • Develop and manage project budgets and cost plans.
  • Oversee external advisors and support procurement activities.
  • Ensure accurate configuration control of all project documentation.
  • Apply effective risk management and quality control strategies.
Required Skills & Knowledge
  • Working knowledge of Planning Applications and GPDO processes.
  • Understanding of sustainability and energy considerations in construction.
  • Familiarity with Building Regulations and JSP standards.
  • Knowledge of CDM Regulations and experience acting in a client or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering, infrastructure, and building works.
  • Operational knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage stakeholders at all levels.
Experience & Qualifications
  • 3+ years' experience leading teams on medium-scale construction projects.
  • Experience delivering projects in the defence sector is highly desirable.
  • HND/HNC, Degree, or equivalent professional qualification (e.g. APM, Prince 2, Chartered status) in a relevant discipline.
