Job description

If so, we may have a role which is suited to you as we are recruiting for an Estates Operative to join our team, where you will be delivering planned preventive and reactive estates & maintenance services to our multi-site clients.

  • Salary: £27,836 per annum, depending on experience
  • Door to door pay
  • 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays
  • Additional earnings available through overtime
  • 4% bonus, subject to achievement of targets (historically paid out)
  • Van (with option for personal use from day 1) and fuel card
  • Smartphone, tools, uniform, PPE

The successful candidate will be required to complete planned and reactive works as directed by the Managing Engineer, safely and to the required standard.

Providing a mobile, efficient and professional service that meets the client's requirements is an essential part of this role and some of the key duties & responsibilities are below:

  • Sweep access roads/common areas
  • Clean bin storage area, signage boards, communal toilet block, windows
  • Power wash forecourt areas & pedestrian footways/brick/concrete/tarmac
  • Litter Picking
  • Waste Removal
  • Mechanically sweep & washdown roadway
  • Cut back foliage from adjacent property & fencing
  • Maintain soft landscaping areas, grassed areas and clear weeds & vegetation
  • Weed kill some areas such as access roads

To be successful you will have:

Essential:

  • Full Valid UK drivers' licence
  • Experience of working within a customer facing, time pressured environment

Desirable:

  • Recognised qualification in fabric maintenance
  • Previous experience in a facilities management role

Other Information:

  • The role will involve working 40 hrs per week, Monday to Friday
