Have you got a construction and maintenance background and are looking for a new career and a good staff motivator? NHS Highland has a full-time vacancy within our Estates Department for a Senior Operations Manager to support the Head of Estates Operations overseeing work across properties in North Highland. The successful candidate should be enthusiastic and motivated, able to react quickly to breakdowns within the NHSH estate, manage small-scale projects, and coordinate contractors or in-house trades teams to carry out maintenance safely. The role is primarily based at Raigmore, with potential travel to other sites across NHSH. Effective management, quick response to critical faults, and prioritization of work are essential to contribute to excellent patient care.
What we are looking for:
We seek a team player who is self-motivated and flexible, willing to participate in a 1:6 on-call rota. We offer benefits including NHS Scotland pension, enhanced pay rates for unsocial hours, training opportunities, generous leave entitlement, and policies supporting work-life balance with a 37-hour workweek (Monday to Friday, 7:00 am - 5:00 pm), subject to occasional change.

Note: NHS Scotland is reducing the full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours from 1 April 2024, with no change in pay. Some service areas may temporarily require up to an additional 30 minutes per week, paid accordingly.
