Job summary

Aspire People are sourcing Estates Officers for a large Further Education provider in South Wales, covering Cardiff and Ystrad Mynach. These are full-time, immediate-start roles offering varied duties in a busy educational environment.

As an Estates Officer, you will handle day-to-day operations, safety, and site upkeep with a hands-on approach. Mobility between sites is required, and a new DBS can be processed if needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in estates, facilities, maintenance, security, caretaking, or trades.
• Comfortable working in a busy educational environment.
• Health and safety aware and practical in approach.

Responsibilities

• Open and secure buildings and manage key-holding duties.
• Carry out security inspections and respond to site issues.
• Support general maintenance and minor repairs.
• Maintain grounds and site upkeep.
• Move furniture and equipment across campus.
• Assist with deliveries and porterage tasks.
• Liaise with contractors and support planned works.
• Respond to maintenance requests via helpdesk systems.
• Monitor health and safety standards on site.
