Manchester City Council is recruiting for an Estate Officer – Parks. The role focuses on maintaining high quality standards across parks and green spaces, delivering a welcoming environment for visitors and ensuring safety and cleanliness through inspections and maintenance tasks.
You will work with the Parks Service and other council departments, communicating effectively with residents and partners to uphold quality and pride in Manchester’s outdoor spaces.
Working Hours: 35 hours per week, worked across 5 days, including weekend working or14 hours in Week 1 and 21 hours in Week 2 on a repeating fortnightly rota, including weekend working.

As an Estate Officer, your key focus will be maintaining high quality standards and ensuring the parks and green spaces you cover are clean, safe and green. You will play an important role in helping to deliver a positive experience for all visitors.

The successful candidates will carry out park, play area and building inspections, alongside a range of maintenance tasks, to ensure facilities are clean, safe, welcoming and operating to the required quality standards.
They will be responsible for maintaining the internal and external appearance of buildings and their surrounding areas, undertaking inspections, engaging with residents and park users, reporting any issues that require attention, and seeing identified works through to completion.
Working closely with colleagues across the Parks Service, wider Council departments and external partners, they will be strong communicators who take pride in delivering high standards and creating welcoming environments for visitors.
